Curd & Croust Miss Wenna Cornish Brie 165g

Made by an Artisan cheesemakers tucked away in the heart of Cornwall who have lovingly crafted a range of superb Cornish soft cheeses! Miss Wenna is a round cheese enveloped in a white, light, bloomy rind that’s both edible and mould-ripened. As the cheese matures, the white rind transforms, becoming less dense and showing hints of light brown. Initially, the cheese will have a core that gradually diminishes as it ripens.
The aroma is distinctively earthy and reminiscent of mushrooms, attributed to the rind. When the cheese is sliced, it reveals a fresh, milky interior with a subtle lactic scent. As it ages, the aroma becomes more pronounced, yet maintains its creamy nature with gentle lactic undertones.
In terms of flavour, this cheese offers a mild and creamy profile with mellow lactic notes and a slight hint of mushroom from the rind. It remains a subtle indulgence throughout its lifespan, with the flavour intensifying slightly while retaining its soft, velvety creaminess. The lactic notes provide a distinct character, becoming more evident as the rind diminishes.
