Delicious Vegan Artisan Crackers with Red Pepper, Cumin & Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Crafted using natural ingredients and traditional methods, our artisan crackers are exceptionally thin, crispy, and full of flavour. Free from additives, preservatives, and palm oil, they offer a pure and authentic snacking experience.
Carefully select the finest red peppercorns, allowing them to fully ripen on the plant before harvesting. Just before baking, they are freshly ground to preserve their rich aroma and distinctive character. Red peppercorns are the mature form of green peppercorns, developing a deeper color, a more pronounced spiciness, and a richer aromatic profile.
Their cumin seeds are gently crushed rather than finely milled, helping to retain their natural fragrance and beneficial properties. Combined with premium extra virgin olive oil, these exceptional ingredients create a cracker with a bold, slightly spicy flavour and remarkable depth.
The flour is traditionally stone-ground, a method that preserves more nutrients and enhances the flour’s natural aroma compared to conventional industrial roller milling.
To achieve the perfect texture and flavour, our dough rests for 12 hours before being slowly baked. This careful process helps retain the ingredients’ nutritional qualities while creating an ultra-thin cracker that is both delightfully crunchy and satisfyingly robust.
Enjoy them on their own, or pair them with cheeses, cured meats, and charcuterie—just as Lady Joseph loved them.
Originating from Haro, in La Rioja, Spain, Lady Joseph (Josephine) has been crafting exceptional bakery products since the 1920s. By carefully selecting the finest flours from local producers and recreating the cherished recipes of her childhood, she perfected a range of elegant, thin, and crispy cookies bursting with flavour. These distinctive and wholesome treats quickly became a favourite among travellers passing through Haro. Today, Josephine’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren, who continue to uphold the family tradition and share these remarkable creations with people around the world.
