Rutland Red cheese is a true artisanal product, made according to a traditional recipe. This buttered, cloth-bound cheese is aged for six months, resulting in a unique flaky texture, a slightly sweet and caramelised flavour, and a rich golden orange colour. It is the only pasteurised Red Leicester cheese made in Leicestershire, specifically at Long Clawson Dairy. Rutland Red has received numerous awards, including 3 gold medals at the Global Cheese Awards and 4 gold medals along with the Tesco Red Leicester Trophy at the International Cheese Awards.
