Originally created for a Newcastle Fan cheesemonger!! This cheese is a typicla Wensleydale cheese with its creamy-white in colour and has a supple, crumbly, moist and flaky texture. Of course, the black layer is coloured with some vegetable charcoal giving a quirky look to this a traditional recipe.
